I recently composed a piece of music based one of the amazing themes you did for the Boast Busters episode, when Twilight vanquishes the Ursa Minor: [link] Thought you might enjoy it
Thought you might be interested in this... Varese Sarabande Records has re-released Jerry Goldsmith's score for Chinatown. It's a limited edition of 3000 units, so I'd jump on it quickly if you intend to buy one.
We are always careful to set up the songs in the proper key, or a relative key that is harmonically right. The songs are in there before I score the show so I can gracefully transition into them.
We work pretty closely on this stuff.
Maybe what he means is that he doesn't like the scores. Maybe he means that Daniel's songs are great and the scores are like the skid marks on my shorts.
Nice to see your back, your journal entries are awesome.
Actually me and a friend were talking about background music in college today. We were mainly talking about re-dubbing music in shows but we did talk a little about MLP (since I got him to watch a few episodes a week ago). He said he didn't really like the "dissonance" between the the music in the background, and the actual songs in the show. He thinks you and Daniel should work a little more closely to "ensure consistency".
I just smiled and nodded my head in agreement as I didn't know what the heck he was talking about (lol, I don't even know if it's a good thing or a bad thing)
