hi mlp fans. i know most of you found me here because i am the bgm composer for mlp fim. i want you all to know that when you compliment me on the scores you are also complimenting my incredibly talented team.

first off is kristopher gee, who has been in the trenches with me since day one. a tireless pony indeed! here's a link to his website:

my buddy jim west, whom i used to play with in weird al's band. we have been working together forever. some of the mlp guitar and banjo tracks were actually recorded on al's tour bus while they were on the road. jim is also an amazing slack key artist. he can play anything and is just a cool guy. here's a link to his site:

my old pal patrick griffin. he got called off the job early in season one, but gets an honorable mention just because he is so darn good. here's a link:

If his website photo looks familiar it's because he shot it in my living room! he looks 20% cooler than me though.

Marc Perlman, superlative music editor and friend. I can't even tell you. what a pleasure it is to have such a professional on my team. We go way back to the biker mice days.

Honorable mentions to Vanessa Garde, Elon Arbiture, Kris Cassavantes and uh! She's gonna kill me. Worked on editorial and cue sheets first season. It will come to me. I will update later.

One other note, I can't send music out, so please don't ask. I don't have time to listen to all the music I am being sent, there just isn't enough time in my day.  And finally, I am not supposed to comment on the show, so I kinda have to not say much about it.

my team.

Thanks to all of you. Honestly I just turned 19 in July and I don't think I have ever waited so eagerly for a show.

Ohh, glad to know! So I have the chance to commend you for the great job. :)
(One of the bgms that always comes to mind is the one playing around the end of Cutie Mark Chronicles, it's beautiful and fits the scene too well!)

Do you have a site where there is MLP BGM?
Necrath Featured By Owner Apr 13, 2012
He does not, main reason being the copyright issue.
But I suggest checking out video's like these instead: [link]

I remember you telling me about Jim West when I interviewed you. His versatility is astounding, being able to do everything from country picking to metal chunk, but I guess that's a must for Weird Al, as he does a little of everything.

Just out of curiosity, which one of Al's songs do you enjoy listening to/playing? For me, I'll Sue Ya is the most fun. I even have some dedicated presets on my Pod. (The one I think I showed you before)

So many of the unmentioned peeps (music, writing, storyboarding, etc) never get their shot in the limelight. Thanks for putting this out there... if it wasn't for all the detail work this show among many others wouldn't be what it is today.

Always good to see the whole crew behind the magic. Thanks for sharing. :)

Also, thanks again for the EverFreeRadio interview -- that was awesome. Too bad my internet decided to go in and out during it!

Awesome stuff! Too bad you can't tell us exactly what kind of stuff they've done, but they deserve recognition just the same.

Thank you so so SOOOO much to all you wonderful ppl over there that give us so much win every week.

And as a side note, Oh Sweet Celestia help us all if Wierd Al were to, in fact, make a cameo appearance! I believe a third of the brony community might just die of heart attacks at such ungodly amounts of win!!!

Behind every big name, there's a hundred and one people who don't get the spotlight. I'm glad we can give them their dues.

if they are as talented as you say, and as nice as you, this should be a nice way to kill some time and learn something new

Jim West has worked on the show?!

Somehow, we HAVE to get Weird Al on there...maybe a cameo by Bermuda, too.

and berm is a great friend and amazing drummer. he is the guy who first appeared with al on the dr. demento show back in the day. he also convinced al to start a band. berm is about a solid drummer as there is on the planet.

I knew about Kristopher Gee, but all the others were a surprise to me. I heard about you playing with Weird Al's band, but I didn't know Jim West was working with you on MLP:FiM. There's more people working on it than I originally thought.
In any case, I'd like to thank everyone who worked on the music. Without it, MLP:FiM wouldn't be the same.
I always believe that background music is one of the most important things in a show and/or game. It can really set or break a mood. And because of that, it's also my favorite kind of music. It's not really a genre (after all, background music can be any genre), but I love it the most because I associate it with the experiences I had with the show and/or game. I actually still listen to background music daily, just thinking back on whatever show/game it is from.

"he looks 20% cooler than me though."
I see what you did there. :iconiseeplz:
