head down
in the trenches
writing
always the thing
so mental
like golf
mind can get in the way
all the distractions of direction and notes
deadlines
all that matters
is never feeling rushed
never being fearful
always being clear
write to one's own visions
a try to have fun
and be a cool guy to everyone you are working with
be grateful for what i got
scrambled this morning
everything
good
leaving normality
latest phrase
i decline to participate
ptime for another cup of coffee
haven't been here much
everything is good
listening to a lot of
alex clare
and
regina spektor
regina spektor is my favorite artist
she is just so amazing.
but lest you think that is it
I wil
put on Foo FIghter's "these days"
and crank it
and totally rock!
or Stevie Wonder
"For Once in My Life"
music!
OK.
Gotta get up and do this.
Cold water season.

Awww, no mention of Iron Maide in there. Still, I liked it!

I'm ashamed to admit I don't even recognize two names in there...
Looks like I have some research to do!

I do identify a lot with the first part of this journal when I write. It can be difficult to find the flow in your writing, but when you do, it's some sort of zen bliss.

Once again, these read like song lyrics. I still think you should definitely write a song at some point. Me and some of the other guys around here can help (Like Mando for instance). But then again, I am working on an EP where I only finished one track out of 16.

Anyway, nice to see some signs of life from you again. I missed reading these journal posts and just seeing how you're doing. I hope all is well!

It's late as ever
I always do this to myself
I would sleep
but who can sleep when so much is on the mind.
I'm typing now
not thinking
just typing
letting it flow
not punctuating
punctuation doesn't matter
just the words
the words that reflect my thoughts
I'm leaving soon
I'm heading out
out of the navy
what am I doing?
i have a good job!
what does the civilian world hold?
will i make it?
will i be a singer?
will i work at McDonald's?
I will go on

Soaked and wet after delivering things to people through a thunderstorm. No rain, snow, nor gloom of night shall stay these swift messengers from their appointed rounds.

Being wet isn't unpleasant and there's no need to try and go home early. It brings different thoughts. Thoughts of action, thoughts of change. Hot weather, cold rain. It's always a cold water season.

Love it! You capture a certain mood so beautifully in there, I can really feel it. I look forward to seeing more. *reads again*

I understand it's not meant to be some literary masterpiece, it's just I feel can really follow the mood in it, partly because I feel the same so often, the battle between speed and haste, for one. It's a great thing to be able to have a little insight into someone's mind, and I do look forward to more. :)
